Well, it happened, as many people predicted.
Mid-July, I came home exhausted from a work trip and asked Nick, “Hey, can you help me reach out to more people to find a home for Storm? I haven’t had any luck so far.”
Nick looked at Storm, then looked at me, and sadly sighed, “…okay.”
Apparently, every time I traveled for work this summer, they were secretly bonding and becoming best friends.
So she’s our baby now. Thanks to everyone who tried to help us find her a new home, even though, it turns out, she was here all along.
I made her a fancy bandana and we celebrated her foster fail at Tails and Ales, where she got to make friends and smell all the things while Nick and I drank coffee.
We love you, Storm!
