Beer Garden App

January 10, 2024

I'm currently working through the Google UX Design Professional Certificate through Coursera. As an assignment, I made a low-fidelity prototype for a Beer Garden app. The intention for this app is to allow users to order food and drink from their tables, without needing to deal with the hassles of long lines.

It's tricky to make apps on your own because so much is involved. Research, usability testing, interface design, visual design, and so much more. I really enjoy learning all of the ins and outs of the process, though. I performed a usability test two days ago with 5 different people and really enjoyed it. My design made it easy for them to add items to their carts and check out, so there weren't any high priority changes needed at this point. However, they all had feedback about the design that was extremely useful. I've already applied the changes they suggested to the low-fi prototype located here, and think it's made a big difference.

I'll be creating the hi-fi prototype very soon, which I'm very excited about. I love making things look good. I'll post when that's been completed.
