When I created the following logos, I made significant efforts to incorporate meaningful and relevant elements to ensure they properly represented their respective organizations.

NCLD

I created a logo for Northern Lights Celtic Dancers. Given their name and location in Anchorage, Alaska, I added a gradient resembling the northern lights on top of a Celtic knot.

Shayna Brewer

This is the rebrand for myself that I created this year. It incorporates my love of space, color, and harmony, with my first name hidden within the planet. It was important for me to ensure my brand was colorful while still meeting WA3 accessibility requirements.

Sherie Weldon

Sherie Weldon is a New York-based artist who creates streetwear with a cause under the brand name BLKGIRL.MAPPER. Since her work involves using GPS data and other mapping technologies, I incorporated a legend, typically found on traditional maps, to the right of BLKGIRL.MAPPER.

Watershed Art House

Heidi Peelen, a Virginian artist, started an art collective called "Watershed Arthouse." Her main request was to incorporate pure CMYK colors into the design, with an element of water. This was my interpretation for the project.

MoonTower Labs

This logo was created for a couple in Austin, TX. They specialize in making fun products for the home, such as digital gif cameras, fun lamps, and other colorful works. Their company name was inspired by the moon towers that were once common in Austin, which I incorporated into the design.

TATAH Podcast

The Center for Health Communication launched a new podcast called "Talking About Talking About Health." The name reminded me of the "Droste effect," a type of recursive picture where a smaller version of the larger image is featured within the larger image. The resulting logo reflects that inspiration.

HCTS

This logo was created for the Health Communication Training Series at the Center for Health Communication, University of Texas at Austin. The sound wave, used to convey communication, is a simplified version of the sound wave produced by a recording of someone saying "Health Communication Training Series." The colors were chosen from the University of Texas's brand guidelines, but still create a visual identity unique to HCTS.

SEJ Department, UAF

The Science and Environmental Journalism Department at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, wanted a design that conveyed all three elements of their department. Birch trees are abundant in Fairbanks, so I created a pen made out of a birch tree to represent their department.
