When I created the following logos, I made great strides to incorporate meaningful and relevant elements so they properly represented their respective organizations.

•Logos•

NLCD

I created a logo for the dance studio Northern Lights Celtic Dancers. Because of their name, as well as their location in Anchorage, Alaska, I added a gradient resembling the northern lights on top of a Celtic knot.

Shayna Brewer

This is the rebrand for myself that I created this year. It incorporates my love of space, color, and harmony, and has my first name hidden within the planet. It was important for me to make sure my brand was colorful, yet still meet WA3 accessibility requirements.

Sherie Weldon

Sherie Weldon is a New York based artist who creates streetwear with a cause under the brand name BLKGIRL.MAPPER. Because her work involves using gps data and other mapping technologies, I incorporated a legend, typically found on traditional maps, to the right of blkgirl.mapper.

Watershed Art House

Heidi Peelen, a Virginian artist, began an art collective called "Watershed Arthouse". Her main request was incorporating pure CMYK colors into the design, with an element of water. This was my interpretation for the project.

MoonTower Labs

This logo was created for a couple in Austin, TX. They specialized in making fun products for the home, such as digital gif cameras, fun lamps, and other colorful works. Their company name was inspired by the moon towers that used to be found all over Austin for many years, which I incorporated into the design.

TATAH Podcast

The Center for Health Communication has begun a new podcast called, "Talking About Talking About Health." The name of this podcast reminded me of the "Droste effect", a specific type of recursive picture in which a smaller version of the larger image is featured within the larger image. The resulting logo is a reflection of that inspiration.

HCTS

This logo was created for the Health Communication Training Series for the Center for Health Communication, University of Texas at Austin. The sound wave, used to convey communication, is a simplified version of a recording of someone saying the words, "Health Communication Training Series." The colors were taken from the University of Texas's brand guidelines, but still hold a  visual brand unique to HCTS.

SEJ Department, UAF

The Science and Environmental Journalism Department at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, wanted a design that conveyed all three elements of their department. Birch trees are incredibly abundant in Fairbanks, so I created a pen made out of a birch tree to represent their department.
